Ben Nye Master MagiCake (CFK-12)

The Master MagiCake Palette is a 12-color collection of our most popular water activated face & body paints. This superb collection provides artists with a diverse array of shades to accomplish their face or body art designs. These colors dry to a smudge-resistant matte finish and can achieve strong opacity on just the first layer. Colors can be layered with each other to create unique hues and tones. 

The durable metal box palette allows artists to keep their kit clean and organized without sacrificing color range. Each shade is available as an individual refill allowing artists to maximize their kit efficiency and customize their palette. The MagiCake Master Palette’s essential color range makes this palette a wonderful option for any student, theatrical, fashion, editorial, body painting, festival, or creative makeup artist.

Colors containing red pigments may stain skin after application, so be sure to apply a test swatch. To reduce staining, apply a primer or moisturizer under the paints to reduce the direct contact of pigment to skin.

Technique:

Activate MagiCake colors by dipping a brush or sponge in water and lathering the cake until a creamy consistency is achieved. 

For bold color and strong linework, activate MagiCakes with LiquiSet. To apply wash of color, dilute colors with more LiquiSet. To cover large surface areas of the body, try stippling with a large Hydra Sponge. These water-activated colors will reactivate if blended over, making it possible to mix custom colors directly on the skin.

Remove colors with warm soapy water, or Hydra Cleanse. Use Final Seal setting spray to increase the durability of these colors.
